Dusan Valhovic is a 22-year-old rising Serbian football star. He is a wonderful striker and plays for Serie A club Juventus and for the Serbian National Team.
Making his debut in 2016 he started his career in Partizan. After helping them to win a League title and 2 Serbian cups with his outstanding performance, he joined the Italian club Fiorentina in 2018.
By scoring 21 league goals he took the Serie A Best Young Player awards in 2020 and 2021. He moved to Juventus in January 2022 where he is currently playing.

Early Career
He mostly challenged older players in the Altina Zemun football school, where he started playing football. In 2015, When he was just 15 years old, he signed his first professional contract with Partizan.
Before that, he was with OFK Beograd for three months and also once made an appearance for Red Star Belgrade. In 2016, he got his name on the jersey number 9 under coach Ivan Tomic.
On 21 February 2016, he made his Serbian SuperLiga debut against OFK Beograd, becoming the youngest debutant of Partizan in the club’s history.
Still, in February 2016 Dusan Vlahovic became the youngest player to play in the Eternal Derby replacing the previous record of Real Madrid and Serbian striker Luka Jovic. That is the biggest derby in Serbian football.
He later went on to become a key player in Partizen’s team. As he scored both in the semi-final and final in the Serbian cup. Thereby helping them to win trophy in only his first professional season at the club and it was around that time that he started to gain interest from the number of top European clubs.
Teams like Arsenal, Juventus, and Anderlecht were said to have been keeping a close eye on him at that time. Partizan declined all offers in order to keep him at the club for as long as they possibly could.

Fiorentina
In 2017 he signed a five-year professional contract with Fiorentina. But was not allowed to play for the club until he turned 18. In his first season of Fiorentina, he managed to score six league goals in 30 appearances.
The goal tally which he doubled in the following season. It is worth noting that in his first season he was not a regular starter. He made most of his Serie appearances coming off the bench.
But in this season the 21-year-old has been absolutely magnificent. He scored a total of 21 Serie goals in 37 appearances and was also named “the Serie young player of the year”. His 21 goal tally just takes him below strikers like Atlanta’s Luis Moriel and the golden boot winner Christiano Ronaldo.
Dusan Vlahovic had a very strong 2020-21 he broke multiple records along the Way. He became the first Fiorentina to score 16 goals in a single Serie campaign since Giuseppe Rossi managed that back in the 2013-14 season. He is also the first player born in the century to reach 20 Serie goals and one of four players born to score 20 goals in Europe’s top five leagues.
Juventus
He has been linked with a number of top clubs with Juventus’s currently emerging as the favorite. Reports claim that Boss Massimiliano Allegri doesn’t fancy putting Christiano Ronaldo in his place for next season.
If that’s the case then that would be the right move for him. Allegri would love to have a center-forward soccer striker of his skill set in his team and also to add extra dynamism to the attack.

International Career
On 16 April 2015, he scored a hat-trick in a match against the Czech Republic as a member of the Serbia national under-15 team. Making his debut against Poland on 27 October 2015, he was also called up to the under-16 squad in late 2015.
He was called up to the under-19 squad for a memorial tournament where he debuted in the opening match against the United States, in August 2016. He scored a goal against France in the second match of the same tournament.
Vlahovic was nominated for the most talented player of the tournament after Serbia beat Israel in the final match. In a UEFA Nations League game against Hungary, he made his senior team debut on 11 October 2020.

In 2021 he was unstoppable, during the calendar year he scored 39 goals which are exactly when the problem started at the Artemio Franchi Stadium. As you can see Fiorentina is great at discovering new talent from all around the world and developing them into stars but not so good at keeping them.
Juventus didn’t wait far too long for this one, they pulled the trigger in the winter transfer market and made Vlahovic the 6th most expensive transfer in Serie history. If you only count transfers from two Italian clubs, he ranks 4th after Christiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuain, and De Laet. All players were bought by the Turin Giants.
