As a big part of European football, female squads have been waiting for 5 years since the last Women’s European Cup was held in Netherlands in 2017.
16 national female teams are ready to shine in England, the homeland of pure football fans, whether male or female.
Even though the number of participating teams is 16, which is shorter than Euro 2020, the Men’s European Cup, the passion and enthusiasm of the girls in all 16 national football teams reaches high as they have never been before. Due to the fact that the increasing influence of female athletes, especially female football players, they have smelled a golden opportunity to perform well in this huge competitions which will get them more.
Situation of Groups:
WEURO 2022 will be held in 9 different cities in England. Brighton and Hove, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Rotherham, Sheffield, Southampton, Trafford and Wigan. Basically every city has its own football organizations and teams. They share a part of long history of English football. The players would not have to worry about the exposure and the fans would not have to worry about brilliance of female football games. In some way, games of female squad could be more exciting and wonderful.
3 rounds of group matches will decide which 8 will be in the knockout rounds. 1 win earns 3 points, 1 draw earns 1 and 1 lost earns none. In the knockout rounds, each team will face a live-or-die situation in every game they encounter. And 3 rounds later, some teams will be sent home early, while some will keep going till the end. The champion and runner-up will be decided finally.
