Vinicius Junior, Neymar, Richarlison, and Lucas Paqueta all scored in the first half to help Brazil beat Croatia in a decisive quarterfinal matchup on December 9.
Neymar, who was injured against Serbia and missed Brazil’s last two group games, was reinstated into Tite’s starting lineup as the Selecao maintained their pursuit of a sixth World Cup victory.

In the 7th minute, Rafinha broke through on the right wing, Neymar missed a shot from the front point, and Vinicius, who was unguarded in the left side of the penalty area, stopped the ball and rolled it through the goal, 1-0.
In the 11th minute, Zheng Yuyong kicked Richarlison, who had stepped in at the edge of the penalty area, and the referee took a penalty kick, which Neymar shot low.
In the 29th minute, Richarlison distributed the ball, Marquinhos knocked it across, Thiago Silva shoved it straight to the middle of the penalty area, and Richarlison put a one-touch shot in the middle of the penalty area, 3-0.
In the 36th minute, Neymar distributed the ball, Venetius burst into the box on the left wing and crossed, and Paqueta stepped in and swept a shot in the air, 4-0.
In the 76th minute, Casemiro cleared a free kick to the front of the box, and Pak Sung Ho fired a long-range shot to make it 1-4.
Brazil’s victory means that they will now play Croatia in the quarterfinals on December 9 as their status as “favorites” continues to increase following another impressive performance.
South Korea’s World Cup has cost them against the high-flying tournament favorites, despite keeping Brazil scoreless in the second half and getting an incredible consolation goal through Baek Seung-ho.
